Serbian bridgerweight Milosav Savic (9-5-1) defeated Italy’s Eduardo Giustini (14-3) by technical knockout in the ninth round in a 224-poud bout over the weekend. The 28 year-old Savic began the fight by effectively punishing Giustini, who at times looked puzzled. In the fourth round, Giustini was knocked down for the first time by an uppercut from Savic. The fight continued with Savic setting the pace and Giustini unable to connect his combinations which ended up deflecting off the Serbian champion’s gloved guard. In the ninth round, Savic landed three well-aimed rights hurting Giustini, and his corner wisely threw in the towel.
